    Released in 2015, Tough is a compilation album covering the first ten years of Bubblegum Octopus, entirely comprised of brand new material, old unreleased songs, rarities, remixes, and new arrangements of oldies.

    After two years of requests, this release has been brought to cassette format, for an incredibly limited edition release of only 100 copies, courtesy of neetspeak recordings (neetspeak.bandcamp.com).

In 2007, I wrote a song about myself. It was very silly sounding, but was actually a pretty harsh examination of myself, as well as a very concerted effort to distract myself from my growing paranoia and increasingly frequent panic attacks (more on that in the next track) with something outwardly silly.
This song is always going to maintain the appearance to others of being incredibly stupid, but it's actually a pretty dark for me to sing.

Between 2010 and 2012 it had become a pretty standard track for me to play live, and I was getting so sick of how underproduced it was, especially with my sets including more and more recent material as I slowly phased out TAFKA8LDM era stuff.
After the 2012 "Precipice of Joy" tour, I did an all new arrangement of the song, but I left the hip-hop part almost entirely unchanged.
Yesterday (April 3rd, the day before this is coming out) I completely revamped that part, changed all of the drums for the whole song, and made a few other changes.
