    Back due to popular demand!

    From MothLife Recs:

Bubblegum Octopus's newest release is available exclusively on cassette! This is a professionally duplicated, high-bias chrome tape for maximum fidelity. It is packaged with a color insert (pink and white!) and light pink plastic shell!

The third long-form release by this New Jersey spazz-out unit is a mini-album of picopop-IDM and fierce chibigrind. What you've got is 10 tracks, 22 minutes of prismatic macromusic. BgO unifies, for his own purposes, a crossover of melodic breakcore, chiptune, Japanese shoegaze, speedcore and 00's-era cybergrind to express personal visions and fantastical situations.

about

Written in 2011. Originally, Critters was going to feature a lot of progressive, punk and metal hybrid songs with a shift toward making a second guitarist a staple of Bubblegum Octopus. This was track 1.

Self importance, mass shootings, pre-destiny, and re-writing our ways of dealing with and reacting to selfish acts.

lyrics

The metal grinding and the sound of crushing inward
Empty tin can falling
Screaming crying for their friends and family they never saw them again
Listen to the words of future inanimate objects and consider that they...
But in spite of that you'll crash this whole damn train and everyone will know your name

It despises everyone who can tolerate the outside world
Miserable shut in for life
Don't help it, No more friends
Shield up
Blood thirst runs in this fucked dissociation

Train wreck on purpose
Steel sadness
Station abandoned
Black wood cross

Precious metals in the palm of your hand, scalding patterns into your flesh
Bring the people down through empty corridors to empty endings in the...
Slaying all in front of all to see forever over and over again you...
Then obscure just as before you're hardly your name
Tear drops drip, stuck in the past
