I kinda wrote this song to accompany playing Perfect Dark.
The song has nothing to do with the game though. It's based on some weird dreams and waking nightmares I've had, as well as some influence from a boss fight from a Playstation game that I can't actually remember anymore.

Somehow, fears of nationalism and xenophobia got mixed into the writing process as I tried to express the imagery of an invasion, as well as the apocalypse (the third of the four main themes of this album), and of course, the ephemerality of mortality (the final big theme of the album).
