Thing-Worker expresses the stuttering noise you make when you're so livid and existentially damaged that you can't come up with a cohesive response to someone's idiocy. It's that awful feeling in the bottom of your gut that you know you aren't smart enough to respond to every situation intelligently. It's the regret of fumbling your words and saying something done to a store clerk or a stranger. It's knowing that you are at the mercy of many others and can never do anything about it. It's wanting to end everything without having to die, and being trapped in preposterously frustrating limbo.
Or perhaps that's just what it is for me.

Color Intermediate is a harsh expression of unmitigated rage. It is self-loathing and lugubrious without foresight. It is an immediate expression of passing emotions, as if they were the finale of all things. The songs are instantly self-referencial, melodramatic, and written without any perspective in mind but my own. The reality of my suffering in any sort of comparative macrocosm was ignored, and only my own emotions, without any filter, were expressed.

In that, I know this recording is flagrant, but it's supposed to be.
This recording is an attempt to produce my purest forms of explosive anger and discomfort without filter. While I live my life, seldom forgetting to count my "blessings", I am also only capable of knowing first-hand the extent of my own suffering. I can point out how trivial my pain is in a macrocosmic comparison, but I can't trivialize or ignore the literal sensations that crush me.

While this album intends to be unpleasant, abrasive, annoying, embarrassing, and even punishing, that is not meant to be the conclusion. I aim to bring you with me through my suffering in attempt to give you the same mid-breakdown wanderlust that lead me on my own path forward.

If nothing else, I at least hope you have a strong reaction to it, love or hate.
